Honours even as Castletown draw with LaxeyTied scores in Division One are unusual but they do happen occasionally and this match-up against the visitors from Laxey proved to be one of them. The consistent Richard Arthur recorded 99 for the top score of the evening with Harry Creevy hitting 98 for Laxey.
Port power to victory against Douglas
Ben Kelly could not match his 'possible' from the previous week, but he was still the top scorer on the night as PSM got the better of Douglas for whom David Humphrey and Sharon Christian were the best performers with a pair of 96s.
Sandsiders are edged out at St Johns in the battle of the electronic targets
Sandsiders do not have a huge number of shooters to call on and it came down to a battle of the Teares with Julian and Orry taking the honours for the visitors with 98s. New brooms the Norrises made a decent contribution as well.

For only the second time this season, all scheduled matches were shot. Laxey hosted Port St Mary and whilst Laxey were able to field six shooters, Port proved too strong, taking all 3 divisions. Ben Kelly was top scorer for the vistors will a perfect 100, and Port dropped a mere 5 points in the first division.
The IOMSC Derby was a close run thing, with only three points separating the first division teams,but it was Douglas who were the winners. Sandsiders took the win in the second division, however.
Kirk Michael travelled a short distance north to take on Sulby. Perryn Watson, despite some nerves around using a new set of rear sights was back on form for the visitors, recording the top score of 96, but this was not enough against a very strong Sulby side, who took the wins in all three divisions

The curse of Covid struck Laxey once again this week, with their match against Sandsiders having to be postponed as the virus rended the club unable to field a team of 5.
In their match against Douglas, Kirk Michael were reduced to six shooters, as Perryn and Colin Watson were away representing the Isle of Man as both competitors and officals as the Welsh Airgun Championships in Cardiff. The two teams were pretty evenly matched, but Douglas took the points in both divisions contested.
In a Southern Derby, Port St Mary fielded 16 Shooters and took victory in divisions 1 and 2 with a quartet of 97s in division 1 and a trio of 96s in the second. Division 3 also went to the Port by virtue of numbers

For the first time this season, all scheduled matches took place, and Laxey managed to secure a win in the first divsion against visitors Kirk Michael. However, Kirk Michael took the win in the second divsion by virtue of greater numbers.
Castletown were victorious over Sandsiders, but Julie Quaye, a new shooter on the Sandsiders Team put in a sterling peformance, recording a 93, just one point behind her daughter, Jean. Well done Julie!
Isle of Man Shooting Club's other team, Douglas, put in a creditable performance on paper targets against Sulby, missing out on a win by a mere 7 points. Sulby's ranks are strengthened this season with the addition of some new junior shooters, with Junior Ladies Tori Fenton and Trelly Norris each recording impressive 95s

Laxey aren't having the best start to this season, with the second match of the season having to be postponed, this time due to illness within the Laxey team
Meanwhile, Kirk Michael hosted Castletown, whose strength in numbers afforded them wins in all 3 divisions.
Sulby headed down to Sinclair Range for their match against Douglas, and despite not normally shooting on electronic targets, the visiting team took wins in all divisions.

The Winter League matches got off to a slightly fractured start, with only two of the scheduled three matches able to take place. IOMSC Douglas, whose numbers are down on previous seasons anyway, were forced to postpone their match with Laxey when three shooters had to withdraw due to COVID-19, meaning Douglas were unable to field a full team. The match will be rescheduled to a later date.
Meanwhile, both Castletown and Port St Mary got off to flying starts. Castletown were victorious over visitors Sulby, taking wins in Divisions 1 and 2. Port St Mary, who were unusually low on numbers, still managed to take wins in all three Divisions against Kirk Michael, who nevertheless managed to put a score on the door in two out of the three Divsions.
